The Foundation Provided Urgent Assistance in Zaporizhzhia Following the Shelling

This morning, on March 22, there was another large-scale missile attack across a large portion of Ukraine, including Zaporizhzhia. Our team promptly arrived at the scene to help residents of the buildings that were damaged. Our colleagues distributed bottled water at one of the explosion sites and at two “Points of Invincibility,” where survivors are also receiving assistance.

– “There is no electricity, heat, or water in the damaged houses. We also delivered water to those who are physically unable to go to the water distribution point,” said Oksana Levada, regional coordinator in Zaporizhzhia. “It is disheartening that only a month ago, we helped the residents of this house to restore the windows after the previous explosion.”

The coordinator noted that this month is the second time Russians have attacked Zaporizhzhia. Therefore, people here are distressed and in need of psychological support. That is why psychologists arrived at the sites of the explosions and volunteers handed out warm tea and coffee to keep people warm.

Today’s assistance was made possible thanks to the Lifesaving Response to Protection Risks and Humanitarian Needs of Conflict-Affected Population in South and South-East of Ukraine project implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”  in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
