Vira Andriivna from Kharkiv went through a difficult period: her apartment was left without windows after her building was damaged, and she couldn’t restore her home on her own. Her salary barely covered her basic expenses, so there was no money left for new windows. She struggled to find a solution until she learned about the possibility of receiving assistance from our organization.
“I looked at these broken frames and realized I couldn’t manage it on my own… I didn’t know who to turn to,” recalls Vira Andriivna.
After contacting our organization, a team of specialists inspected her apartment. Vira Andriivna was included on the list of recipients, and within a few weeks, new, energy-efficient, and durable windows were installed. For her, this became an invaluable support.
“When you see that someone hasn’t forgotten about you, you find the strength to keep moving forward,” she shares.
Today, Vira Andriivna lives in her apartment with her fluffy cat, who has become a true comfort to her. She says that with the new windows, she can once again calmly watch the city, enjoying the quiet and sense of safety that had been missing after the damage.
