The Foundation continues to support the residents of Khersonska and Mykolaivska oblasts, in particular, by providing financial assistance to those belonging to vulnerable groups. To date, more than 2,300 people have received 10,800 hryvnias each. Ms. Olha also registered and received the financial assistance she needed. The woman suffered a stroke and has diabetes, so she needs continuous and expensive treatment. That is what she is planning to use all the received money for.
“I was really looking forward to receiving financial assistance from you, because I take medication every day. I first registered to get it. The registration was nice. You have a great team! The representatives of the Foundation were very responsive and good at talking to me, listening to me. They are just great!” says Ms. Olha. “I am so glad that I received the money. This is very helpful.”
Ms. Olha lives alone. She left the village during the occupation and experienced all the difficulties that internally displaced persons face. After returning, she still has to live in a summer kitchen damaged by explosions. The house is still uninhabitable due to broken windows, doors, and a shattered roof. The situation in her village is currently volatile, with occasional missile strikes.
Ms. Olha received the funds thanks to the Providing Multi-Sectoral Humanitarian Assistance to Conflict-Affected Populations in Ukraine project, implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” together with the humanitarian organization CARE Ukraine and the Response Consortium with the financial support of the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).
